Metal halide question
I'm setting up a 70gal tank with the dimension of 30''x30''x18'' and thinking about going with metal halide. So far this is the combination I'm thinking about.
Lumen Bright pendant and reflector Galexy electronic ballast 250w 20k radium bulb My question is, would it be too much for a 18'' deep tank? I'll probably hang it around 12''-14'' above water level. The tank will be a mixed tank with lps/polvp on the bottom and sps on the top. Another question is the halide will be hanging from the ceiling. How can I add supplemental lighting to the setup? I would like it to have a clean look. Pic would be great. Thanks in advance |

Not sure about the supplemental lighting, but I think that MH setup would be great. You should get an adjustable hanging kit and I'd probably start about 18" at least to get a good spread.

You might want to get an hqi ballast if you want to go with the radium.

+1 Nanojg. I agree.
Radium bulbs perform great off an M80 HQI ballast. |
