ok sorry for not posting. everything went great!! only took about 10 minutes. it was very easy, just had to cut the rock with my dremel and then the two pieces just easily broke apart and had to cut a little tissue with an exacto knife. but everything went great, and now they are both opening up beautifully!!

you need to cut the skeleton but NOT the flesh - you then put soemthing between the 2 pieces of skeleton so the flesh will split naturally

I helped a friend frag his bubble coral about a month ago. Dremeled the skeleton and popped it apart. All 4 pieces look as if nothing happened. I even got a frag from it. Been in my tank for about a week, full of bubbles.
