Hi,
I'm very interested in switching to LED lighting and think the XP series is the best thing out right now. 5 colors in one die and a near perfect spectrum! Pendants also have a great appeal to me as I have the vertical clearance to hang one and the top of my tank will be very open! My question is which (100xp or 50xp), what lens, and how many would you recommend for my setup?: 72"x18"x24" sps & lps mixed with some softies at the outer margins Also what height awl? Thank you, ~Tyler P.S. Is there anywhere I can see pics of the xp pendants in use over a tank? Last edited by Biscuit37; 03/10/2012 at 02:24 AM. |

Anyone? I'd really like to move on a purchase. I would also like to know if the XP pendants have any control ability or a moonlight feature?
Thanks, ~Tyler |

Biscuit, for your tank we recommend the DIF-100 if it is 24" deep. If it is 18" deep then we recommend the DIF-50.
Can you please let me know if your tank is 18" or 24" from the sandbed to the waterline? |

24" deep/tall From sand to water line. How many of the 100xp? and what angle lens? Also if I decided on the Nilus instead how many of those would I need?

For your tank you can try 2 of the DIF-100XP but most likely you will need to go with three of the units. This is somewhat dependent on the rock structure and the layout of the tank.
For the Nilus you will need to go with three units with in the wide angle lens version. If you have additional questions please let us know and we will be more than happy to help out. You can email us at [email protected] as well. |

Thanks for the update. Do you have any pics of 3 nilus over a 6 foot tank? Also is there any programability/dimability/moonlighting in the DIF-XP pendants?

How about 90x90x55cm (almost cube) tank? I am also interested to know on the flexibility to control the light set.
@Biscuit37 - I did not want to create new thread since it is relevant ![]()
