I have 2 Black Python 160W units over my mixed reef 150g tank. I'm running the latest "Pacific Sun 3ch Live Studio 8.1" software and latest firmware. What color settings are you using to get the best performance out of your corals?

Hello,
For improved growth - you can set all three channel;s for 100%. If you preffer colouration - I got the best resulst using white on 70% - and other channels for 100%. Daylight tiime: Sunrise time : 11am - duration 220 mins Sunset time: 6pm - duration 220 mins Please try this settings ;-) Regards Przemek |

Yes, we have plans about that - and work is in progress ;-) @greg_45 Please tell me - are you asking about PAR table settings - or Basic settings(sunrise/sunset mode with predefined time)? Regards Lukasz R. |

I just set my lamps to this setting works well corals like it also.
I was asking you to describe what happens to the lamps in this mode . Others might want to try it out. It starts out with a slow sunrise to a high noon and goes to sunset. |

My personal thoughts are that the best results we got in company with white channel lowered to 80% - and daytime period not longer than 10 hours(including sunrise/sunset - 120 min)
I think that your time period is too long - you have configured lamp with 100% of power for almost 10hours per day... Its TOO long - you can burn your corals - a specially, when they arent acclimatised.. Rgds Luke Pacific Sun RD Team |
