Profilux Questions?

I sent a PM to the moderator here a few days ago with some questions before I purchase a Profilux controller. Is it easier to post here and get answers instead of PM?

I am very interested and intimidated in the porfilux 3. I currently have a RKE and was looking to upgrade. Also, is the touch screen still out of stock? Also if I wanted to run the unit in one room and the probes down stairs, is the cords long enough?

Hi

welcome to ProfiLux, there is nothing to be inimidated at all, you have on hand the largest support network of any controller for sure. The ProfiLux can be as simple as well as complicated as you wish it to be.

The Touch is in stock never has been out of stock.

If it is showing out of stock somewhere then it will be in stock somewhere else assured.

Probe leads for any controller with an ounce of relaibility will not allow their leads to be ore than 6 feet in length due to impediance losses, if you go over this you will not get accurate readings, My suggestion would be to run the controller by the sump and have the Touch screen upstairs, this is powered by a simple cat5e ethernet cable.

Ok. What is powered by the Ethernet cable? Will their be a price drop or good package deal coming up?

All PAB devices such as power bars, touch screens, and ecotech modules are connected via ethernet, you can also control the profilux via ethernet to connect to your network.

The package deals are already live and there was a massive price reduction in the fall which continues today.

That's an understatement! People buying packs today are saving literally HUNDREDS of $$$'s compared to this time last year. Thanks to GHL's changes over the last year ProfiLux is now in a price point comparable to much less equipped controllers.

Hi,
I have a profilux 3.I am not able to program the lightning system.I want it to switch the lights off at the dawn and switch on at the dusk time.Also, I am not able to connect it with my PC.
I am not good technically so if anyone can please give me a step by step procedure.
