How about some help/ideas from all softy heads

Hello everyone,
I am starting a new tank project. originally I had planned on a larger tank, but have since changed plans, since I can't bear to tear down my excisting tank.
It will be a softy/lps/clam tank. Tank Dia are 36"wx60"dx30"h. starphire front glass. stand will be metal 1 1/2 sq tubing, skinned in birch. Lighting is 3 250 watt mh w t5's. What color would you suggest for the lighting. magicreef for dosing, will I need to dose iodine?, carbon reactor, ATO. ehiem return pump.

So what size skimmer should I use or do I even need one since this is a mostly softie tank. Will have only small fish ie gobies.

The rock work will be setup canyon style ie. oregonreef.com style. Only the first 18" inches on the sides will be open, the rest will be painted. There will also be an arch 2/3's of the way back. canyon will start out about 2 1/2' wide and tapper back and curve a little to the right

I want a surging type motion from this setup. So what would be the best way to achieve this. Mps, tunze wave box, other? I'ld like to not see any hardware in the tank.

And for the best part, list your favorite corals for this tank, especially what you would grow upside down under the arch. Also where would you place each type of coral. Thanks for your help and Ideas.
Daniel
