Sponges from DiverTom.com
I came across this site and was interested in placing an order for their "vase sponge" - Callyspongia plicifera and "tube sponge" - Callyspongia vaginalis, but know little about their care. Can these be maintained in a home aquarium or are they best left in the ocean?

I think they are very hard. Most nps are pretty hard to care for because they need high nutrition in the water all the time. Feather stars, whips, carnations, and so on. Im pretty sure the vase is nps but im not sure about the tube. If u can provide the food i would say go for it. Good luck

Haven't placed an order. I don' think I could keep the sponges alive in my current set-up. I might order some gorgonians in the future though. From what I've read online the site has a good rep.

I bought it from diver tom and coupled with the terrible shipping procedure it lasted about... oh... less than a day. Stay away.

Thanks for the feedback. How was their shipping bad? Time, cost or packing? Supposedly they use FedEx.
