How much are you seeing Rhizo's go for? $$

The only one Ive even seen locally was at a conference and they wanted $200 for a little white one. I wasn't buying into that nonsense. Are they usually that much around everyone else?

180 to 200 starting for the small orange, pink and white ones. Larger ones 2.5" to 3" skeleton can go for mid 2-300 dollar range for the same colors. You can step into the 500 plus range when you start dealing with the more difficult colors to acquire, purple, true red/burgandy, bright yellow/green.

They were $60 last time I saw them in Toronto (last year), but I had seahorses at the time...

I got both of my white ones from other reefers, I paid $150 for mine, my buddy paid $100 for his and gave it to me when he broke down the tank. I'd love a different color one but seems like $300+ is the norm and I won't pay that.

There's a seller on Ebay selling some as "Japanese Super Suns". They sure look like Rhizos to me and he's selling them for $285

Now those are illegal, if they are truely from Japan. The thing all started when they only were found in Japan. Since then they have been discovered in the Indo regions just deeper waters. The Indo ones are not illegal.

illegal to import, but once they are in USA, you can buy sell or trade. I had 5 last yrs, sold 3. Still had 2, one in gold and another in red.
$180-250 is a fair price. But now a day you can find them at about $60-120 at LFS. someone offer me $1200 for the gold color one, and it is still in my tank. Never seen this color.

If it's illegal to import, it's illegal to own given it would fall under CITES. You can be convicted under the Lacey Act in fact.

USF&WS when interviewed said they are not illegal to import, yet at the time they said that, you could not find any CITES II for them??? If there is no CITES for them, your not getting them into the states legally.

I've always wanted one, but you really don't see them for sale in my area. I only know of one lfs that has one, but it is kept in their display tank.

I was just at San Diego for a business trip. Went to a LFS Aqua SD. They have 4 for sale but the price is too expensive. Not really worth it. They were asking for $350+ per pink ones. The pink color is like the most common ones......
