I'm not asking for proof for the numbers, I want to know where the numbers are from so I can do more reading as it sounds as a very well done study. I like learning about everything related to tanks (recently bought myself a breeding book and am going to attempt my hand at marine fish breeding).

But as for your point, all fish are constantly looking for food. Well, I guess most all. My midas blenny is fine chilling in his spot waiting till I feed them. My pigmy angel on the other hand, always seems to be searching for snacks.

Ya, I'm not trying to compare them.

But how where those numbers achieved? Is there a study or report? Or is it counting the head bobs? If it is counting the head bobs, is every head bob a kill and results in an eaten copepod?
