My GSP took several days to open when I moved it. How long has it been?

I got a frag of gsp to test things out in my tank about 1 1/2 months ago and it took atleast 1 week to fully open. Someone told me that iodine it the key to open them up, just like xenia.

Just to give you some input it took four days for mine to open but they haven't stopped growing since. Just give them a little more time.

GSP is like a weed! You can literally just drop it in your tank and it will attach to something and grow like crazy. Mine is on they glass so closes up every time i clean or use my mag float. I wouldn't worry at all. Give it time.

Mine won't open if calcium is under 400. It's odd, but true. It's my calcium canary!
