Here is my tenalla, I'll take some pics of it in my tank, but you can see the growth is very different.

With all the growth I am seeing in this thread, I am surprised that there are still such insane prices for the Red Dragon.

agreed on that. wondering when the market for red dragons will be flooded to bring the price down. you can blame the red dragon hoarders. lol

I see where you are coming from, but this is another one of those "veron" things that I'm not sure I agree with (like spathula and millis) Seems to me we have 2 different corals with the same id. Tenella seems like the 2 different tenella ID are very different. Notice how all the living pictures skeletal/corallite structure is VERY different from all the DEAD pictures skeletal/corallite structure.. Gotta wonder if they got things mixed up every once in a while.

I've got mine in medium / high light - medium / low flow. I get that colour but slow growth still for me.

Updated Red Dragon colony pic. Sorry, still an iphone shot.

My display is over 400g and this colony is at least 12" back from the front glass so to size it, most of the branches are 10" long now.

Chris, that's one beauty!!

I don't believe LED's can match 400 or 1000 watt MH yet!

Color might be nicer, per se, but growth and color just isn't there! Great job Chris! Go Atlanta, lol!

Hi Chris,

How do you go about doing a bulb change?. Do you drop your light on time and slowly ramp up?.
How long are your 1000W 20k's on for during your normal lighting schedule?

Thanks
Mo

Thanks Ralph. Gotta rep ATL when we can! You'd be amazed at my colors in person. iphone shots do zero justice.

Your colony could now be called "colonies". Great growth. More top-downs!
