Help Needed!! MP10 DIED!

I just went over to the tank and in the past few hours my MP10 has died. It is flashing red/orange. Tried unplugging it and plugging back in and nothing. According to Ecotech's website I need to call them ASAP for service. I have a biocube 29 with maxi-jet 1200 as a return pump. Return pump is providing some circulation but not much.

What should I do in the meantime? Should I go pick up a powerhead first thing in the morning until I can get a new motor from Ecotech?

Tank is mixed SPS/LPS/ClAM

Thanks!

I'd go buy a cheap powerhead in the meantime. If they need to ship you parts or service the MP10, you could be days without good water movement, and that'll be the end of your corals.

Having a spare isn't a bad idea anyways.

Did you inspect the wet assembly? How long has it been since you gave it some maintenance? Make sure there is nothing locking the magnets, take it a part and give it a good vinegar bad to remove any calcium deposits. The pump has a safety system and if the wet side is not spinning correctly the pump will stop and blink red/orange.

Wet side is perfectly clean. I talked to ecotech they said it is a wiring/motor failure on the dry side. They are sending me a new dry side. Pump is less than 6 months old.
