heres the issue, it takes more than 2 months to have a beautiful tank.. our enclosed ecosystems are not really stable for a year... if not MORE!! and so far in this case... EVER!!!

Please stop and read everyone’s posts. You are killing or going to kill beautiful living organisms because you will not READ and learn from others. Stop ignoring everyone!

I think the reason your stuff is dying is because you don't have a controller or the right lights. If you get a profilux 3 ultimate and 2 radion led units it should solve your problems. I suggest you get those things before wasting any more money on corals that won't live without the radion and profilux.
A controller and radion units are not going to magically give someone reefing experience...Only time and trial and error will. You can have a beautiful tank under simple T-5's, and a complete disaster with top of the line reef gear...

Unless my sarcasim meter is broken?

time to get that thing calibrated...

Though I did kinda hope it might save some livestock while he saves up for those things.... Not that he listens anyway....

They can do whatever they want... Problem is he hasn't even done anything against the rules. Not listening to advice isn't against the rules. His post are on topic and not offensive (though the offensive part could possibly be argued...). You can block him so you don't see his posts. I find it kinda funny, though I wish he wasn't killing animals in the process...

Lol I bought a stinking eshopps float valve for auto topoff system. This will work for now till i can order a float switch which I'll use the bracket from this device. Eventually I'll have the topoff system i want lol.

Also got a electric feeder that feeds marine omega one pellets that my fish like already to go on vacation.

I gotta rig up something in the closet till the float switch comes in and i have all my lights on timers. It's 2x54 12k and 420purple actinic for 9.5 hours and 2x54 10k and 460 actinic with 6 cree 3ws for 7.5 hours

Started to dose vodka and my parameters are good. I ordered the first wave of corals for spikescorals.com to go in the tank 6 frags. Zoa, monti, birdnest, favia, candy cane, yellow star poylp. It's my birthday tommorrow and he said they like birthdays.

I'll put some pics up of the corals in the tank after they acclimate.

Watchdog float switch was $45 bucks has a ten second run time to add to the tank.
A maxijet 1200 to push topoff water into the tank.
Also going to buy automatic feeder and marine pellets to feed the fish while I'm out off town and vacations.

I'm recording the tanks current salinity and calc alk and magnesium for a week and will add whatever it needs for the week as well as total amount of water for the entire week.

Going to the dentist tommorrow which is right by a saltwater lfs in a nearby town San Antonio which is an hour away. No saltwater lfs locally. I will go by and purchase a couple frags if theres something i like.
Honestly with the way you are setting up your tank right now I think it would be better off when you do go out of town....total disregard to living creatures....you cme to forums for help, not to document what you end up killing. It interesting cuz ur talking about how you get things for an amazing deal but you end up just buying more.......seriously dude get out of the hobby if this is what you are gonna do....we don't need innocent fish and corals dining because of your stupidity. Save the beautiful fish and corals for someone who is willing to take care of them RIGHT.

PATHETIC

Vodka is used to lower nutrients if you have nutrients high enough to need start vodka dosing. then I doubt any SPS will live. If you want a ATO buy the Tunze Osmolator it's probably the best because it uses photo eye and float for back up so less chance of flood.

What are your water parameters? You really need to have your water under control before you introduce coral. What is your calcium, magnesium, alkalinity, ph, NO₃, PO₄ and just because, what is your NO₂ and NH₃?

Please don’t respond with “LOL…I bought...”

Everyone is trying to help you understand it takes time to build an enclosed ecosystem. Throwing money at the aquarium isn’t going to make it magically turn into a beautiful reef. TIME, patience and experience will.

Don’t vodka dose unless you know what you are doing. Pouring vodka into your aquarium can kill your livestock…Or just make them really intoxicated.

Your next post should be “My water parameters are…”
PH…?
ALK…?
NO₂…?
NH₃…?
Ca…?
Mg…?
PO₄...?

This way everyone can get an idea on how to help you make the beautiful reef aquarium you want.

PH – Acceptable Range --- 8.1 to 8.3 --- Yours is low at 7.6
ALK – Acceptable Range --- 7.0 to 11.0 dkh or 125-200ppm --- I am guessing yours is in ppm at 180
NO2 /Nitrite – Acceptable Range --- 0ppm --- Yours is 0ppm, good!
NH₃/Ammonia – Acceptable Range --- 0ppm --- Yours ???
Ca – Acceptable Range --- 380 to 450 --- Yours 450
Mg – Acceptable Range --- 1250 – 1350 --- Yours at 1000, this is low
PO₄ / Phosphate – Acceptable Range --- 0.00 - 0.03 ppm --- Yours ???
NO3/ Nitrate – Acceptable Range --- 0.00 - 5.0 --- Yours 05 ???

This is a good resource for water chemistry

Lol The pics of the corals for the tank.
Will be left on the bottom for about a week and I'll slowly start to move stuff up.
I have had the corals in the tank about 60 minutes and full polyp extension already they look buetiful.

Hell in two months I might buy that carpet nem. Hmmms Maybe a little clam too.
Well I'll listen to yall and get the clam in two months and then in another 3-4 the nem.
