Pico Question

I have a 3 gal pico going at the moment. It has zoas, florida rics, xenia, 1 snail, 1 small pom pom crab, 1 porcelain crab. I am using Instant Ocean Salt and also have the Instant Ocean Reef Crystals too. This tank has been going since December 2011.

It has been recommended that the addition of Kent Marine Reef Starter Kit be of help to this type of pico. With dosing of 40 drops per week from each bottle or 8 drops a day from each bottle.

Can someone here please tell me if this will harm my little pico and is it necessary for the good growth of my corals?

I can say that my corals are not growing very fast, wish they were a bit more bigger.

My lights are Coralife PC 9" fixture with 18 watts in total on this pico.

I have no traces of nitrate or ammonia either in case this is to be asked. My salinity is 1.025 and my water temp is 78 degrees.

The product you mentioned is optional, since we have examples of growth without it, there are several years-old three gallon tanks on the Web undosed.

Better feeding of your pico and upgraded lighting are two more impactful steps to take. Post pics, I can tell you if things are normal or not for 9mos.
