No dead rock I did get some dry rock that was in water for about 6 weeks, and some live rock from another tank. Everything is checking out good on water parameters after a 30% water change and adding some Phosban. Gonna let it run for a few days it seems to be clearing up ordering a BRS GFO/Carbon reactor and see if that helps.

Does anyone have good experiences with the
Turn the lights out, cover the tank with a blanket or whatever, and don't feed for 2-3 days idea?

I'm kind of tempted to try that, then siphon what's left out, and do a big WC.

Stupid question, but does the red-slime get as bad/happen in glass bottom tanks?

I did a three day black out a couple years ago when I was having an issue with cyano and it knocked it out. The only problem that i had was a couple Anemones decided to wonder around in search of light but otherwise all was well and the cyano was gone.
