Neon green ball floating around

Not sure if this is a coral at all... I have no idea what it is... I found it in my hammer coral. At first I thought it was attached until it floated free. It does not apear to have any connection points where it was attached to the hammer..

(The spike is behind it not through it)

My guess is bubble algae.

Is the tip of it the same colour as you hammer's? I've had it happen with my torch when it got too tangled or twisted. And it falls off.

The exact same color as the hammer tip... but this was that color on all sides

I thought that too, but it is a really neon color like the hammer. I put it in a container with in the tank.. I'll take a closer look at it tomorrow

Sometimes they'll lose a tip, like emeraude said.
