what do u mean co exsist? Plants use copper but in very small minute amounts what ever is in your tap water is usually enough. Copper can become toxic to plants quickly.
Its used in oxygen reduction, nitrogen fixation, and helps with carbohydrate metabolism. I believe at 1 ppm u will see adverse affects on annuals, but you will probably kill everything else buy that point. I have never dosed copper in my tank. I grow annuals best.

Actually I shouldn't say that i never dose copper. I dose copper regularly but i do it naturally with the use of Fancy Molasses this copper is heavily "chelated" kinda meaning that each copper atom is "attached" to another atom in the molasses, which makes it not so available so quickly. ( in simple terms) a chemist could explain that better.
