rare exotics

I ran across a site while bored surfing around tonight that has some really cool rare exotic fish. Not sure about posting links in here for the site, but i have a few pics that speak for themselves. Hope this doesn't break any RC rules, but it's just too cool of a find not to share . If it does, SORRY in advance They had a ton of stuff i have not seen forsale before, and for the fresh water people they have rare discus and plecos. That was how i ran across the site.

Purple Rhino Scorpionfish

Panda Goby

If I had an aggressive tank, that scorpionfish would definately be on the list.

That scorpion had a price tag of like $450, but he is beautiful. They had all kinds of stuff that i have never seen for sale before. They have some really cool garden eals also. If i had a large tank with a real DSB, i would have me a garden lol. They also had Octos and cuttle fish eggs.

Adam, did you go and look at the discus they have? They have colors i have never seen before.

Our LFS here in Norman had that scorpionfish in once. But it too was over 400 dollars....

While I appreciate the heads up on them very much, it's probably in my bank accounts better interest if I don't look at em. I did just get rid of my Discus tank and I know Jess would stick my head on a spike in the front yard if I came home talking about getting discus again, lol.

You should check out www.MarineCenter.com and the LiveAquaria Diver's Den. Look at a few things like Gem Tangs (Zebrasoma gemmatum), Japanese Pygmy Angelfish, and a slew of other little guys. These can easily run in the thousands of dollars. FWIW, a black market Weedy or Leafy Seadragon is rumored to be in the $20,000 range These animals are endangered and protected.

And unless you were a very rich man, that 20,000 dollar seadragon would die very quickly. The Dallas aquarium has to fly over live mysis shrimp to keep them alive. I'm sure I'm just preaching to the choir though.

Oh yes. A private individual (liscensed or not) would be foolish to get one.

Nice site Doug. I kept discus for 10+ years. Wish I had that site available then. Discus are pretty easy to get, dwarf plecs arent. My favorite to keep with discus were rummy nose and cardinal tetras. I also love apistogrammas, but talk about hard to find...

Anyways, that site is cool.
