Leather coral bleaching but awesome polyp extension

I have a finger leather under 175 w halides in a 55. It has been there for over a week. It has awesome polyp extension but seems to have bleached considerably in the last 24 hours. Can a bleached leather (or any coral for that matter) still extend polyps and look otherwise happy? All other frags are doing well. I have gsp and xenia also. Not that I think a bleached coral is happy but I wonder also (since it is not totally bleached but close) if it could just be getting ready to change color since it has access to halides now (it was originally in a tank with LED lighting).

I am sorry I could not post earlier. My camera needs new batteries so I cannot post pics at this time however it is looking more like its normal self. I think my problem is I put it somewhat close to the halides though not directly under them. Still it may have taken it a bit to get used to the new conditions. I am just glad to see it looking more brown than it did the other day. It was white even on the polyps. Color temp of both tanks is 10k
