Stream to apex 2 channel cable

When using this cable can the two streams be controlled independently or would you have to use two single cables, one for each stream plugged into separate ports?

Each cable plugs into one variable speed port on the Apex full or a VDM module. The RJ-45 port on the Apex or VDM module gives you access to two independent VDM ports via the single cable. On the other end of the cable there are two DIN-5 connectors, one for each powerhead.
