Very nice tank. My vertex illumina 260 with reds and UV is on the way. I'm changing from a T5 fixture. Any advice

I didnt have the red or violet in my illumina just the standard white/blue mix, when i moved from T5 to the illumina i slowly ramped up the schedule and intensity. starting with a max of 50% i ramped the blues up to 90% and the white to 75%. held at this intensity for 6 hours and ramped down. I had the schedule to ramp up to the max when i was at work so when i got home i had a nice color for a few hours that i could enjoy...not too yellow with the high % of whites.

also expect to lose colors going from T5 to LED, not sure on how the red / violet will effect color but i lost reds and pinks going to LED.

My regal helps with the lack of pe. Has a nip here and there.

Do you mind elaborating on burnt rather than a throw away comment that has no help at all

Amazing tank Rod! What type of stand is that if you don't mind me asking? Is that laminated? Was it a custom stand but you made it look like a cabinet? I'm looking to build a custom 200g soon.

I don't see at all what you are talking about.

Tank looks amazing to me. Really clean look all around.

The Achilles and the Dispars are two of my all time favorites.

Reef on!

Thanks guys it's really been a joy running this tank and it's low maintenance too which keeps me keen.

Kluver I had the steel stand made and a cabinet maker build the cladding to make it a furniture piece. It matches the rest of the look in my place

Steve I have some ghl led coming so they will be back on. I sold the other led because I wasn't happy with the coral color. I lost subtle colors in corals like pink red yellow Hopi g the fuller spectrum mitras helps or the ati goes back up again

Did my next potassium test today, so from the water change on saturday measuring 410, today being tuesday i measured 400. No K-balance being added this week to test the usage of the tank. Next week ill add K-balance and test again the same routine.

Pulled out the lumix underwater camera tonight.

this is my favorite monti in my collection

I got this from a mate, was brown but its turning out to be a ripper!

I snipped a tiny piece from my red table, it was about the size of a finger nail right at the bottom where the coral was cut from the rock. so from flat and brown to this...i want to see if it tables

thanks to another mate for the SSC, not much green yet but its encrusting and looking really really pink!

my new zoo rock im growing

clams

Can you provide a shot of the hanging fixtures for your lights behind your tank? I've never seen anything like this before.

This is EXACTLY what I want when I set up my next tank, as I'll be going LED. I don't want them hung from the ceiling, nor from brackets that are screwed into a wall.

Sweet tank and set up. Keep the pics coming...

Did you DIY, or did you order them when you got your tank?
