Berghia Nudibranches for Aiptasia
Anyone have any or know of any within driving distance? I'm having an outbreak from a coral frag/rock that had a couple hitchhiking. I've been injecting them with a limewater mixture to kill them but it's a weekly process to keep them knocked down and they have a million places to tuck away in this Pukani rock.
thanks! Curtis |

Inland aquatics in tera haute should have these. How big is the aiptasia? If it is too large you can not just through the adults in the tank because the aiptasia will eat them. You will have to set up a small tank and introduce a rock covered in aiptasia to it. You will have to cut off all the heads leaving just the stocks then the adults can eat them and lay eggs. Once the eggs hatch you can introduce the babies into your main system. That way the aipatia can not eat the small nudi's.

$19.99 a piece at inland or if you buy 6 or more they will cut the price down to $14.99 a piece. Was thinking of getting some but seems like a high price when you need 1 per 10 gallons on tank

ok, looks like Salty Underground is my best bet. $9.95 apiece and 1 free after you by 5. Looks like I could probably get away with 6 for $50. And I'm going to St. Louis on the 1st for a Zac Brown Band concert.

I used one injection of aiptasia x and it never returned. Worked instantly.

they can become a nuisance. they can (and often do) multiply rapidly by several different methods, and they can sting your corals if they are close enough to touch.

Doing it all over I'd do a peppermint shrimp. I put one in a 10 gallon and have been transfering rocks to it from my display and he'll clean them in one night. The nudibranch in the display have made no visible impact yet.. 6 in a 72g.
