Diablo XS 225

I am thinking about buying this skimmer soon. The question I have is this going to be overkill for my 75 with 40 gallon sump.Tank will be mostly sps and lps,and a few fish. Thanks

I believe so. Really the diablo line starts at the 160 with the Sicce 600 pump and I suggest that for tanks from 90gal to 160 while the 225 would range from 90gal to 180. You would be better off with a SRO 1000 or XP1000s which has a smaller neck more calibrated towards your possible bioload.

Thanks Jeremy,I need a small foot print,I could go with the 160sx,I think that should work.I don't know how I missed it.

The 160 is still a bit oversize due to its large neck and the size of your aquarium. I would suggest you look at the XP1000sss if the footprint is an issue.
