Reef Octopus Diablo XS-225 - broke Lid

Hi All.

I recently purchased the Reef Octopus Diablo XS-225. It's been sitting in my sump while I set up my system. While moving stuff around - the lid fell and the acrylic lip inside of it broke (maybe a total of 1/4 of the lid lip is gone). I guess this lip is to deflect the skimmate into the collection container.

Should I be concerned? If so, is it possible to get just a lid for this skimmer?

Ted I was wondering the same...it does not affect functionality but mine I found was broken when I opened the box. Wanted to know if there is a way to replace it. Also have issue with the bubble-blaster if Reef Octopus can get back to me.

The rim helps prevent foam from exiting through the vent holes in the lid. it also helps direct foam over and in the cup for collection. A replacement lid is $15 and can be purchased through our sales office by calling 985-718-1467.
