I made sure that they were ok before I left. It was back in the salt water tank in 10 minutes.

hmm if the fish had injuries, freshwater dip would not be appropriate anyways.

do you think freshwater bacteria can still infect a marine fish with no cuts or openings ?

Sure, humans get bacterial infections all the time by just coming into contact with it and touching their eyes/mouth.

Personally I think it would be the prudent thing to do to post the name of the LFS so others can form their own conclusions of whether or not the practice of freshwater dipping Marine fish in a cycled, non PH Matched, freshwater aquarium is proper. If this is a practice that the store does with customers in the store it shouldn't be a big deal to post the name of the store anyway.

I wouldn't want to buy one of these traumatized fish. These fish are so stressed, as it is. What kind of fish guarantee does this place have?

This is one of those posts that is worth sending to the reef blogs. They eat this kind of stuff up.
