Fall rut in Denali....about 3 months away. Got my reservations already made. This will be my 15th year (probably more like 17th or 18th!) going up there! Hard to believe I moved to Alaska 14 years ago from NY.

Alaska is awesome. This was shot on my way to the Kennicott Mine, along the Alaska 10 "highway." It's a single lane, gravel road that abruptly ends at a foot bridge that crosses a river. It's between Chitna and McCarthy, AK

Pretty good chance there were fish there, we were told a bear had been in the meadow across the river the week before.

We walked past this guy on our way to the river.
