Sorry the pics are not so hot! Working with internet speeds slower than a 3 toed sloth makes things a real pita to post but after 20mins i got a few up. The sideways pic is my modification to the overflow that i made from lexan to raise the level in the display. I will be posting more pics eventually, thanks for looking!!

Looks good. I've just set up the same tank. I raised my water level, as well, but the lexan u cut looks cleaner/better than mine.

Thank you. Its holding up really well. Although i feel like im not getting enough flow in the sump compartment. Im using the stock return pump, but my media baskets dont seem to have enough flow going through them. Not sure what to do about that yet. I may swap out the stock return and replace it with 2 individual returns to see how that works.

Josh, long time no talk! Glad to see you're doing well. Can see you're like me, new tank every so often .

I would absolutely upgrade the flow. Even two individuals would work well

I like that idea of making the water level higher. Might steal that. It may just be the picture but it looks like it's off the wall a couple feet. Any reason for that?

Hey whats happenin Hentz!!! Thanks for stoppin by. Ya its been awhile i never really left just took some time to move and plan a new tank. Im really loving this one and its just the right size for me. I think i will definitely try out 2 individual returns and see how they work out. The current pump is rated at 476gph and i think its a 1/2" barb fitting.

Well nothing really in particular. I like being able to have enough room in the back so i can get behind the tank and work on the sump compartment if i need to. Also i didnt put doors on the front of the stand so the back is open which houses my ato.

Makes sense. I like the concept. Luckily I can slide by whole setup but the way you have it would make it easier to access everything.

Not so sideways. Excuse the messy cords in the back and the kessil power cords arent strapped to the goosenecks.

I really debated on the placement of the tank. Originally i was totally for the tank being up further and even with the corner of the wall to have a peninsula type setup. Also i just kind of centered it partially because there is more support closer to the edges of the walls. If you walk by the tank real heavy footed the tank will bounce a little and the floor is kind of springy. It just worked out better being further back.

Here is my overflow that i am talking about. The pool of water just settles in the media baskets and is not flowing through like it should. Is it because I've raised the water level in the display and i need more power from my return? A bit confused.

If I had to guess, as I can't see the rest of your overflow, your water level is too high.

In my biocube that only happens if the floss is plugged up(needs to be changed), or if the water level is that high in my back chambers.

How do i correct this issue. More flow with stronger return pump? Thats my only conclusion but i could be wrong. My current stock return is rated a 476gph. Ibwas thinking about adding two mj1200's to increase to 590 gph

Reduce the amount of water in the back sections? Not exactly sure how the Im tanks handle water, but in the biocube the DT section never changes water level. If the water level goes up or down, it fluctuates in the back chambers.

You can't post items for sale in the main forums. If you'd like to sell you'll need to create a separate thread in our classified forums with each item listed with a price.

Thanks,
