Hanna Checker Reagent Question

I didnít realize I had been sent the HI 755 reagent that is used for the ppm instrument when I placed my order online.

The checker I have is the HI 772 that is for dKh.

I have been using this for months as I ordered 3 units totaling 75 tests. Did this impact the accuracy of my tests?

best bet is to contact Hanna or see if the MSDS's for both list the same chemicals. iirc you can find the MSDS on the HI website, I remember looking for and finding them some time ago.

Hi,

I recently got myself the dhk version as well and the rep oredered me a refill for the ppm version. The catalog list the refils for both dkh and ppm the same.

Basically its the same reagent. The software just does an additional conversion from ppm to dkh on the newer tester so accuracy is not a concern for you.

If the catalog lists the reagents as the same, I think you're good to go. I'd be a bit surprised if they were different. There's no need for that to be the case.

From what I was told, they are the same. Hanna changed up things some time ago and has one reagent for both meters. Smart.

Item # Description
TE-HI772-26 Hanna Alkalinity Reagents, 25 ct. for use with Hanna HI755 and HI772 Marine Alkalinity Checkers

My reagent is the HI7772 that goes with the dKh checker.

So as for the salt, so I need to wait longer before testing? How long should I wait? And if nothing changes, do I trash my salt and try another brand? Iím trying to keep my dKh around 8
