A couple of weeks ago I got a quote from EG on 10 D120's and 2 IT2080's in one shipment. The D120 with lenses was $105 and the IT2080 was $310 plus about $35 each for shipping. I have to go back and ask for a new quote as the numbers have changed. I now need 6 D120, 2 IT2040 and 7 IT2080 and I hope they can do a little better.

got my two d120s over my 40B frag tank finally and the spectrum/layout and lights are working great. the corals are responding very well. these are such a bargain for what you get and like it has been mentioned running them even modestly, one gets excellent PAR at the sandbed.
i'll get some tank photos once the dsrl battery is charged. |

What layout did you get I would be interested to see? Also 2 seems like a lot over a 40b are you keeping frags that require high light or are you dimming? What did you use to clip them together like that? Sorry for all the questions, looks good!

i posted my layout a page or two away with feedback if you want to check that out as well but this is the layout i went with.
i'd replace my greens with cool whites and got a bunch extra LEDs so i plan to do so shortly. 2 over a 40b isn't the normal thing to do but the lights are so affordable and i keep mostly SPS in my frag tank and didn't want any dark corners or limitations to what i could keep or its location. so now at the sandbed in the corner i still get ~320 PAR with the blues about 75% and whites 40%. the PAR is too high with both at 100%. for mounting i just made sure to mount them perfectly evenly with a few custom ceiling pendants mounts i used with the provided hanging kit evergrow provides and then i used a black zip tie in the front and rear of the units. you can see it in the picture above it you look closely and it makes the units look as one when perfectly level with one another next to each other. thanks! |

Anyone else see slowed down coralline algae growth. I'm not saying mine is only due to LEDs but mine has slowed and I don't know what else it could be so I'm asking has anyone else seen or heard of this?

I contacted Sam at Evergrow about the issue and also told him my concerned after the replacement of the new LEDs and the possibility of the occurrence after a few months in operations. He stated the LEDs have been improved in quality since. So let see that. He is sending a new set of violets, plus some green and red LEDs for free. |

[QUOTE=YoungREEFA;20921657]
130$ i figure somebody has given them a try! my lfs has em over a 65 gallon, doing well.[/QUOTE Direct links are a part of the reason the first thread got closed down I think. Those are the lights that a few people have posted as having issues with. I believe there is a pic earlier in this newer thread of one totally burned up and unusable. I would pay the extra money and get a D120 or twilight fixture..JMO

monkiboy, it looks like you have almost a 3:1 ratio of blue to white, right? So at 100% power, what color temp would you say your lights are? 14K, 16K, 20K?
Here is what I plan to order (I'm getting 2 IT2080s and either a D120 or an IT2040): Any help from anybody will be appreciated.

monkiboy, why did you go with columns instead of the checkered pattern for the two switches?
