Almost 11 foot long tank!

I am going to start a big of a thread for this tank. It belongs to a good friend of mine who is internet challenged. I have been helping with the design, set up, etc...

Tank is a glass cages, 10ft 10"x24"x24" It will have two overflow boxes on the back.

Sump is going to be custom built, and will be 6ftx16"x16"

This will be a reef tank, with lots of fish. Stand will be finished this week, and we are expecting the tank next week.

He had a 125 that all livestock will be transfered from, as well as a lot of new stuff!

Pics to come soon.

You know how people feel about not having pics in a thread and just giving us a tease?

so it's a 10 foot tank, not almost 11

picky i know, but if it was like 10'10" you could say 'almost 11', but it's 10, so why not say 10' tank?

Umm, if you read the post, I said it is 10'10"x24"x24", so it is almost 11ft.

Depending on what he is going to keep, the only possible downside would be additional lighting, and extra equipment for water movement.

I love the idea of a long tank. Plenty of cruising room for fish, and room for a aquascaping.

The tank will have 3 islands of rock, center will be acros, outside ones with be mixed.

There will be several tangs, a school of anthias, a group of lubbocks, a pair of maroon clowns, etc...

I just talked to him and he was staining the stand, so I will try to get pics of it soon.

Water movement is what concerns me right now.

BTW it is closer to 11' than to 10', so i think its fair to say "almost 11 feet" and standard glass comes in sheets of 130" i am pretty sure that is why he opted to go for a that size, if you want it bigger it is special order and a lot more money, at least where I'm from. I would have gone the same route. 2" is hardly worth the money, just to say it is 11 feet.

Looking forward to some pictures
