Im still running the same pump and volute from a few months ago... the skimmer is still producing nice amounts of skimmate. Im adjusting water height by 1/4" weekly to see if there is a sweet spot. Great skimmer so far!

I have the skimmer in 8" of water and the intake of the pump makes rattling noise. But if I have the skimmer in 13" water there is no noise.

Can anybody help me ?

I'm waiting on my upgraded pump before I comment any further on this skimmer. The one that came with it has been a big disappointment.

is anyone planning on trying the latest volute design on the 900?
I am, as i am happy with the performance, I just want a volute that allows me to shut down with no startup worries.

Yep, that's it. I have a pic from Vue showing close to 60 SCFH on it. After I get it installed I run down the air and watt numbers and post them here. Won't be till next week though.

I can only guess it will be around 40-50 watts.

Are they using the actual ATB Airstar1500 or is that just what you called the modded laguna1500 they are using?

I just bought a Catalina 1400 pump. I plan on trying to put one of the needle wheel that I got off the Laguna 900. And if I can't do that I will just mesh mod the pump instead. To hell with waiting for coralvue to figure it out. The pump was 50 bucks with free shipping. I've used a Catalina pumps before and they seem like a well built pump.

Just to let you people know. Watch what you post about CORALEVUE on here. Evidently they seem to read these post quicker than they respond to their own e-mails.

That picture still makes me laugh.

I wish I could find that picture that I had. you probably get a kick out of it. Maybe you've seen it kind of looks like a big lollipop.
