Hey... I just started my Nano 12g DX too.
How are you going to get light to the refigium in chamber #2? Over the top of the chamber or from behind? I will be doing my from behind the tank. Also are you going to be using a MJ606 as your return pump?

I'll be lighting it from behind. Getting a little 5w Azoo palm light from drfostersmith.com for lighting it. I'm using two MJ606's for returns from the back chamber. I drilled the first chamber and put in a bulkhead so that I could do two returns.

Two fish (probably some species of clown and a tail spot blenny), and mixed softies/lps. I'll take pics of the bulkhead setup tonight. Was a pretty easy modification to do, and is real sleak looking.

Here's a new FTS, I just filled it up late last nite so its still clearing up.
![]() Here's a shot of the bulkhead/pump setup. I used an elbow from home depot thats 1/2 x 3/8". This means the tubing coming off of that pump is smaller (hence more restrictive). I just ordered a 1/2" elbow off of drfosters to open up the flow more. Inside tank: ![]() Back Chambers: ![]()

Nice start!
I would have went with a bit more flow for the return pump though...right now I have a Maxi-jet900 and a CA30 (similar to the mini tunze) for more flow and it's just about perfect keeping detritus from settling. |

I love taking tank pictures, so I'll definitely keep this updated. Any plans for that 65 yet? Can't wait to see pics of that one set up

I'm not too sure what direction I want to go with the 65 yet. I have a few ideas I'm kicking around. Right now, I'm about to start to set-up a 14g biocube for my shop. Once that is up and going good, I'll turn my attention to the 65.

Good luck with both the tanks. Looking forward to seeing pics of that 14g setup. You looking to just put in on the counter at the store then? That would be awesome...

Is that the ora picasso clown? It doesn't look like one to me, that is why I am asking.

No its not. I had an ora picasso clown in the tank for a couple of days that died out of the blue. Still haven't been able to figure out why because my water quality is good, etc. The lfs replaced him with this true perc, and he is doing well so far along with my newly added tailspot blenny (camera shy)
