What makes a RBTA a true RBTA
On RBTA for Sale threads i've seen people ask "Is it a True RBTA" what make it a true rbta?

Some people feel that RBTA's that have a green oral disk aren't "True" roses.
If I recall, it has to do with some BTA's imported from China that lost their rose color and browned out in captivity.

Here's an old pic of mine. the picture quality isn't great, but gives you an idea of the colors I was talking about. Also, the B&W gave the GSM a quick beat down when I first put him in, (see the gill) but they haven't fought since.
 It's much bigger now. If that's not a "true" rose, that's fine with me

I've nothing against the green disc Roses, most that come in these days seem to hold their color well.

I don't think that it is an issue of one is better than another but a true Rose is fully red Oral disc... Kinda like Onyx vs other Perc's. Coloring costs. All good in my book. I like the orange or pink BTA.

E. Quadricolors.. BTA's come in many color morphs.. red, pink, orange and green being the most common. They are all BTA's. "Rose" anemones are are the same species as the green ones... just different colors. The name "True" Rose is a misnomer and has been much debated and discussed.
Some BTA's have a combination of colors, yellow tips, purple bases, red and green, or pink and green, speckled even... it's all a matter of personal preference which one to get. Find one that appeals to you and just enjoy...
