Question dKH, test kits, kalkwasser reactor: help

I started my kalk reactor about 2 weeks ago. All levels were perfect before the reactor.

pH is good: 8.5 at the end of the light cycle

Salifert Alk test kit reads: 16 dKH

Fastest Alk test kit reads: 5.8 dkH

Corals look fantastic.

Any ideas?

I heard of late that salifert has been ify. Do the tests again and back off with the reactor. Is this a calcium or a Kalkwasser reactor?
