Talking Pics Of Zoa Tank (Pic Intense)

Sorry it took so long to get pictures, been busy... I just wanted to post a few pics to show everyone the great tank that John @ FAOIS built for me... It is a 24x24x12 frag tank with built in overflow... This will only be a zoa tank...

Also I picked up an awesome piece of rock while I was there at a great price...

Let me know what you think, and if you have some zoas you want to part with let me know always looking for new zoas...

These pics are of the tank right after filling and sand settling...

Here are a few pics after it has been stocked...

Hmmm, could be the macro, from 3', you can not see the green lines coming out from the center.

dream, awesome build. Where did you get all those Zoas? Did you get those from John or did you have them from before. That is a cool idea about having a zoa only tank. I have contemplated that. Do you have anymore pictures that are close ups of the zoas?

Talking

Chris, I got all the zoas from various places... There are a few in there from john, but most from the selling forum here... I love the zoa only tank because it doesnt need the meticulous husbandry that sps tanks need... Here are a few closeups, keep in mind my picture tanking skills need some serious work...

Thanks Chris, the main reason i went for the tank was because my sps tank has low nutrients and they dont grow.. I have already since almost every frag grow at least 1 new polyp in 1 week... Hope it keeps up, and if it does will be fragging soon enough...

Dream, do you think I couldn't have zoas in a SPS tank then? Or would I just have to spot feed?

give it shot chris. what doesn't work for some people works for others. zoas need light and flow and you got it. Mike has zoas growing in his tank that is obviously sps dominated.

Chris, you can grow zoas in an sps tank they just grow slower. I spot feed my palys like my PDs and nucs it just adds more nutrients to water.

The tank itself was about $150 since the overflow chamber was oversized and made of black acrylic... I was originally going to make the tank myself and it would have cost almost the same and I had to deal with the hassle of it...

The only bad thing about going acrylic is that the price of acrylic goes hand in hand with the price of gas.. Since petroleum is used to make acrylic when gas prices rise so does the tank prices... So dont be surprised if you get a quote and a week later it rises...

Overall the tank was built great and I am very happy with the outcome...
