The Poor Man's "Elos" SPS Build. :)

I have always admired Elos tanks and setups. I would love to have one, but my budget doesn't allow for one. Maybe in a few years. So I decided to make one poor man style.

Here are the pics of the tank and stand. What do ya think?

Great job on the rimless tank and stand. Keep us posted as the tank progresses. Whats the cost of an Elos tank with those dimensions? Curious to know. I like them but never priced them.

I love the Trimless tank aswell, very nice...looks very clear, did you use low iron glass all the way around?

nice job..

what are the dimensions? looks about 4'x20"x20" or so...100 gallons? dimensions look very nice either way...

what are your plans for lighting and stocking?

Looks awesome. You thinking of changing careers? We could do for some Elos tanks without the exchange rate....

Poor mans nothing!!! My setup is also Elos inspired and I've spent just as much as buying an Elos system.. Reason why i didn't, i dont like to being tied down to only a few choices..

Your setup is amazing!!! Im gonna follow this thread closely. The hardware you used on the doors look a lot like the ones i have on mine. Nicely done!

x2uranium,
Get the rimless tank now!!! I got married in October, and the wife said after the wedding I could spend my extra money any way I wanted! Well, that didn't happen!!!!

That's an awesome tank, good job!!!

Thanks everyone!!!

OnlyCrimson - The tank is made by glass cages.

NanoReefWanabe - The dimensions are 48"x24"x18"

mcliffy2 - I wish.

CamBarr - A good friend of mine built it for me.

matan_grin - Not sure. Any suggestions?

Efrain - No particle board. Some plywood though.
