Coral Rx

A guy in Portugal asked permission to use my images on his site to fight AEFW, and when he sent me the link, it included a product I'd not heard about. Here's his page where I saw it:
http://www.nosolopeces.com/Revista/E...3%B3poras.html

Btw, if that page is saying that I kill chickens and kittens, it isn't true.

Here's the new product:
http://www.coralrx.com/coralstore/

Anyone heard of this stuff yet? Have you tried it? It says it will kill Montipora-eating nudibranchs. True? As well as AEFW, it seems. Who's using this stuff in the states? Let's hear your experiences.

I think Phillip Root with The Coral Gardens was selling this stuff. I'm not sure now though because his website isn't coming up. His website is www.thecoralgardens.com

Where can you buy it at? Those places are for wholesale or business from what I can tell.

Let me know if they can get it, I don't have any bugs(knock wood), but I need to have something on hand for dips and just in case. Have a good evening.

I looked into it a while back, and there wasn't a lot of people using it - but everyone I talked to about it that has used it LOVES it! (I still have not used it)

There is a mod over on the zeovit forum, gqjeff, who used it with success against AEFW. Essenstially it seems to be less intense on the corals, yet effective on the pests. Does nothing to the eggs though still, and is used as a dip. Its pricey, but for the benefits worth it IMO.

You can buy it at the site melev linked above, here again: www.coralrx.com

I will be picking some up once my TMPCC is out, just for incoming dips.

Maybe this product will be available at MACNA this year. That would be handy.

Someone here in town picked up both Rx and Coral Revive. They both smell identical; like Pine Sol and both seemed to be equally effective. Conclusion was if they are not the same they are very close.

If it does nothing to the eggs, then you might as well stick with TMPCC or CoralRevive. The eggs are the tricky part of AEFWs. I know there are some folks who have gotten AEFWs after dipping, but the majority of people who have AEFWs don't dip properly.

Well this is said to kill RBs amoung other pests as well, along with being less harsh on the corals. Therefore (if all claimed is true) this is the "all-in-one-soup" dip that we've been (or at least I've been) searching for. It would eliminate the need for two dips that I perform when bringing in new SPS, then into QT they go. Also, I haven't had many issues with TMPCC browning corals out, but I have had a few and I still believe its pretty harsh on them. Where as everything I heard about Coralrx is that its less harsh, yet effective on pests, hence your keeping all the color and stressing out yuor corals less.

Im excited about this product, and looknig forward to seeing it put to the test under different applications and environments.

Perhaps an education on the proper means by which to dip is in order..........

I just ordered some last night so I'll keep you posted I'll keep you posted on how good it is. I think that the one thing that stood out in their claim is that it won't brown your corals out which is a big plus.

I use it and love it, I have been using it for over 4 months now with excellent results. It smells like pine-sol though super strong scent.

Also as a side note. Every coral that I had dipped in this soultion (over 2 hours) never lost color.

You dip your corals for 2 hours? Is that really necessary for pests? I think the instructions say dip for 10 minutes. WOuld a 2 hour dip do some damage to eggs?

Phillip Root with The Coral Gardens is the the one that developed it. He is local to me and a few of my local stores carry it. He will be at MACNA this year
