How do you like your marine beta? I read that they can be shy and hide all day? I also read they are a pain to feed since they hide and miss feedings?

BTW, tank and pics look awesome!

Drummer reef: I have no equipment pics but i have a 20 gallon fuge with a skimmer for a 250 gallon tank. I use a phosreactor with relephose in it. I run chemipure from time to time. lots of live rock and that is about it.

kelrn98: My biggest tip for taking pictures under actinics is to use a tripod open your apiture all the wat up and get a remote plunger. Also take a ton of pics. at least one or two will be good. Thats what works for me.

Myka: I have had my harlequins for about a year now. they are huge the female is 2 inches and the male is an inch and a half. I feed them a star fish once a month or so depending if they are hunting or not. The are really cool i recomend them. They breed from time to time but i havent seen any babies.

keaton: The mushroom you are asking about is a green rhodactus. they are in the process of taking over the tank. I actually gave four away in the past week and a half.

NickBee: I love my marine beta, one of the most stuning fish in the hobby as far as i am concerned. Mine was pretty shy for the first week or two and i had to feed him live feeder shrimp to get him to eat. after he got used to the tank he started eating mysis and feed near the other fish. I then weened him over to krill. he now eats the krill out of my hand or out of the turkey baster. this way if he is still hungry when feeding time is over i just give him a couple pieces and he always gets enough.

petoonia: That is a tomini tang. a type of bristle tooth. He is a very nice fish but will not grow for some reason. always eating and does a great job keeping the tank clean.
