Hello. I just started my protein skimmer and noticed that when the water level gets below a certain point in the sump, the skimmer no longer pumps water into the neck; it hangs out like half way down the body. I understand this is a pressure issue, but with this new type of design, I just can't wrap my head around how to mitigate this issue other than keeping the water level high in the sump. Help is much appreciated.

That skimmer requires a water level between 150-250 mm deep. Anything above or below that will cause the skimmer to not function correctly as you are finding.
