Any one able to catch a mantis or pistol shrimp?
I have been using some of this rock for 5 years. I have always suspected that I have had one since the beginning. I hear the occasional clicking on the rocks of my reef tank. I havent seen this thing ever. I have tried looking with a red flashlight at various times of the night to find jack sh*&%%! Well I have had it since my perfectly healthy flame wrass vanished 3 days ago. any suggestions?

Break down the tank and send it to me. jk
What a lot of people do is set traps these things take time to work and what I would recommend is to stop feeding and only place food in the trap this way the animals are more drawn to the trap. Now the problem with a trap is that you have not seen the mantis and do not know the size of the mantis with this being unknown you may have to make a couple different size traps. Hope you come out a head. |

Get a plastic bottle and invert the top to make a trap with some food inside.
