I used these...

Worked well, and unlike a regular toggle bolt, you can remove and replace the screws.

Picked them up at the local Lowes.

do you know what the measurement of the screw's head size should be to fit inside the mount? i haven't gotten my lights in yet, but i want to go to Home Depot to get all the parts i need so i can install it once i get it. i saw the manual for the hanging kit and it does not include the screws that will actually go through the wood. this is the screws' head size that i need to know.

also, i went to the toggler link and i saw the video. it say to drill 1/2" hole. that seems quite big to me or is 1/2" and exact fit for the base of the hanging kit?

It allows you to get the toggle portion of the bolt through the drywall. The cap supplied with the hanging kit is plenty big to cover it.
