29 gallon cube lighting help!

Hey all. I just bought a 29 gallon biocube last week and had a couple of lighting questions. It came with a 150w metal halide light, and was wondering if there were corals that I couldn't keep with that lighting. Also, I wanted to look into some LED's, but weren't sure which kind would be best for this tank. I want a light that I could have limitless options. Also, pics of your tank with different lighting would be much help. Thanks!

Matt

You can keep anything with that light. My tank came with a 150w MH light too. I used it for about a year before upgrading to LED because the MH gave off too much heat.

I've heard good things about the Steve'sled retrofit kit. I'm seriously considering it myself.

I have Fathom LED's Pharoh. Not sure if they're on this board. They're big on a board I frequent.

Don't know if you're looking to upgrade now. In the event that you are, this place is having a crazy sale. I never used them, or even saw that in person, but they seem like good lights. Can't beet the price!

+1 for reef breeders.

Got a photon 16 on my cube and it's great!

I ordered Steve's LED kit, and honestly I cannot express how happy I am with the product, and how simple it was. Can't wait to start growing SPS with it.

As stated, you can keep anything with that light. I did swap out to a 14K phoenix bulb, it was wonderful, but make sure you light acclimate because its alot brighter and higher PAR. I bleached some things in my tank when I did it. I'm using Vega's now. Great LEDs. This is my BC under the Vegas.
