i still cant seem to get anything to really grow in my tank.. not even a mushroom (it wilted and died). i have it set at %40/20 on my 18x22x24 column. all my water parameters are good, due to only 3 fish and a small clean up crew. i have the light cycle blues on at 11a all off at 9p. light is placed 12" above water. i have some gsp regrowth on my liverock, but they remain minuscule with white polyps. Any help appreciated..

Have you tested your water for calcium, magnesium, phosphates, nitrates, salinity, and Alk. We need numbers. I do not think the lights is your problem. Also have you check to see if you have stray voltage leaking in the water system?

Have you ever check for stray voltage in your systems water?
What is your TDS reading from your RO unit?

I like the unit but i must say the timer is awful, my light comes on at different times throughout the week, never stays consistent.

How do you check for stray voltage? will I need someone from the lfs to come do it? and i buy my r/o from my lfs. Where i buy it they have a huge setup in back and have someone constantly checking the levels. I switched tothem because where i was buying it at first it was prebottled, and you don't see where your water came from or who makes it lol. my livestock is doing well.. My yellow tang is the first to show signs of something wrong in the water.. and my snails are ok too..

You take a volt meter and put the positive lead in your system water. The take the negative witch is ground and touch it to a ground. You can use the center screw that holds your cover over you wall outlet.
A good friend of mine was loosing his LPS and everything looked good. But when we found stray voltage in his system. We started to unplug everything till we got zero volts. We did find out that his heater and one power head was leaking voltage into his system. We put a grounding prob into his system and all is good and his LPS look great now.

I see you have OR T247s. I read they dont have moonlighting. I like the lights alot but no moonlighting?! Did you install anything to have moonlighting or do you live without it?

I'm on the fence about these as well. I need to get rid of my d120's and just can't decide what to buy.
