Fights going down
Afternoon Sps keepers,
I had a fight that when down with my Acropora vs my red Monti, the Acro lost and now has a horn that is bleached. I was wondering if i should frag it off or let it be? i have moved the Monti to time out in a safe place. Thanks for the help in advanced! |

I'd frag it personally, though I must say I've never seen a monti caps sweeper tentacles, interesting.

Hmm that is weird. My monti also loses most battles. My monti browns at the edge and then grows around any contact spot with my green slimer. Both corals remain virtually unaffected and the slimer grows out if the center of the monti in several spots where the monti encircled it. I have never seen monti affect anything from the distance in your picture, unless the pic was taken after you moved it?

The photo was before I moved the monti. He was on a rock that I put up there last week then I saw the bleaching, so I moved him back. It was kind strange but acro is healthy so I assumed it was the monti

I have 1 acro that is a monti killer but most of them just get smothered or try and get smoothered I usually just break off the monti once it starts to shade the acros...which is why I now have a frag tank that is 50% red cap since I can't bring myself to throw it away..ha.
