I agree with snookster I bought a 4 head Blue Hornet frag for $100.00 ( Biggest heads I'd ever seen), and the damn thing is dying in my tank ! Down to 1 stalk and doesn't even open ! I love the Hornets though!

When I shut down my 210, I let one of my friends hold on to a few colonies of high end zoanthids and palys. They ended up dying, the water tested out to near perfect. What we actually think happened is there wasn't enough nutrients in the water column.. He keeps sps mostly, and do great. But really I don't know what really happened this is only a guess...

Very good chance. I know some that keep pristine water for their sps have to do some extra feedings in the tank in order to keep zoas.

I also have Space Monsters and they are quite prolific. I started with three a while back, now have a large colony of 25 or so. They get big as well...I love the pink sparkles . Nice photos of your morphs by the way.

Oh man, that sucks!!! I got a small frag of the blue hornets last year and the things are going crazy. The polyps are nice and big and the color is outstanding. I fragged them for the first time for someone who stopped by last week to see how the colony reacted. The colony didn't miss a beat . He says they are happy in his tank as well. We'll see how his do for the long haul though.

I think you have to name all of your zoas. I have started wondering about the first one too. It's really gorgeous!

They don't look like Blue Hornets to me. Blue Hornets have a white mouth.

CJvale I wish mine were doing as well as yours! Those palys look huge. Mine always seem to shrink when I get them. Stop eventually and seem to grow out but never get any larger. Still trying to figure out why. I'm guessing I still have some issues with lighting and or I have WAY too much crammed into my little 28g. Im still a noob.

Some many awesome zoos and palys here glad there are others with such an appreciation. I feel so many people shrug them off for sps. I love sps too but none as much as a flourishing zoa garden.

Nice Rastas kalgra!! I got a frag of 2 polyps about 6 months ago. Up until about 2 weeks ago, I never got another polyp. I just saw another baby growing so now I'm up to 4! Can't wait until they spread out, they are awesome.

Yeah mine grew out amazingly fast. I had four or five when I started and am now up to about ten inside a few weeks time. Although I think a few of those had already just started when I got it.

Yeah, it seems like once you get a few polyps they start spreading faster. My others have been going like crazy lately too. I just looked at some older pics and most of my colonies have doubled in the past month or two. I REALLY need to get my new tank up so everyone can have room to grow!
