Love this tank. I have been using radion xr15 pro, mp10, cad lights pls50 elite skimmer, magna fuge chaeto light for refugium and some GFO. Any other recommendations?

Tank looks great, I don’t use any mechanical filtration, I just make sure to clean my pumps periodically so they aren’t clogged up. Personally I don’t find it manageable to remove all my equipment and clean the back chambers so I don’t do it.

I have 8 fish and zero detectable nutrients so it hasn’t been an issue for me yet with a lack of mechanical. I do vacuum the sanded.
Here are a few more of my tank. Excuse the horrible pictures my horrible phone camera cannot weed out the blue. Ive got a new tank now and about six months before I do my upgrade. Excited to see how this tank progresses though my acros have really started to take off at the one year mark. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Thanks. Fwiw when I use mechanical I have found that my nutrients rise unless you change them every day or two. What are your plans for your tank?

PNorris11; You sure like breaking all the Rules; Flame and Lemon Peel? I know wifes favorite. Then Wrasse and Anthias with no lid Just crazy... Tank is really looking amazing SPS are looking great.
Guys if you haven't seen In Tank makes some cool baskets for filter floss. I'm getting on of the New IM red lights to see if I can grow some Cheato.. Will use In Tank Media basket for this one. I do replace socks every few days, they don't hold up in washing machine so cleaning is a pain. Will keep posted. |

Yeah I know, I do keep the lid on sometimes but I should be better. The angels are great with sps but they do limit polyp extension. Color and growth is still good though so I live with it. I thought about pulling them when I upgrade but I’m undecided. If I keep them I’ll probably break some more rules and add a copperband lol. How’s the tank doing AZ? Is that the Aquatic Life Hybrid? Do you like it? I’m adding the 48” version to my 120. AZ - Bubble Algae is the worst, seems to stay going even with low to zero nutrients. You try a few emerald crabs? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Pnorris11. It is. I love it with my kessil 360. The only annoying thing is that theres two power cords for each ballast on the opposite ends. Its not that bad tho.

I had some bubble algae for a while. I bought two emerald crabs and they took care of it. I’ve seen them eating it which is cool. Any crabs can be hit or miss though. I have heard of emeralds misbehaving but they are better than most.

Well I'm unable to add HO Skimmer unless I want to drain tank. I put mine to close to wall.
Whats your thoughts on Matrix? Just got In Tank media chamber to be come Refug, on new IM red light comes in. Again very nice tank, Your Mushrooms are awesome! |
