ATO just arrived

So do I need anything else other than the sheet that came with it to set it up? This is my first time using an ATO.

I have an apex gold.

Any suggestions from people who have set one up using an apex?

Ok, so I have it setup per the instructions from Avast, but not sure how deep to put the sensor. Does it register at the very bottom, or at the level the water rises to in the pressure tube?

Also the switch is in a closed position now, which means it's active right? If yes, nothing is happening and it should because a closed switch is active right?

It shouldn't be closed though because I have the sensor in the water right now. I also got the backup float switch, but not sure how that is supposed to fill if the pump is not running?

I had problems with my unit and Avast helped me fix the problem, plug a device into the ato switch say a light if the light comes on that means the ato should be pumping water now insert the tube into the water until the light goes out, if that does not work remove the tubing from the john guest couping and reinsert it, that is what caused my problems with my unit.

yeah, I submerged the non submersible peristaltic pump . I will have my new one from them tomorrow. They have been very good about it. Totally my fault, but this is my first ATO.
