Automated dosing of KCL and NaNO3

Hi all,

I am dosing KCL and NaNO3 manually, and I would like to automated the dosing of those 2 substances. I have a jebao doser with 4 heads, which dosing 1) MgCL2 +MgSO4 2) CaCL2,+ tropic marine trace elements 3) KH + tropic marine trace elements 4) diy NOPOX in a reactor with siporax and matrix. Can I add KCL to 1 or 2 solutions? Also can I add NaNO3 with NOPOX , so I can add it directly to the reactor to enhance bacteria proliferation?

Thanks in advance
Greg

I use NaN03 with NO:P0x when N03 drops too low without issue. Can't answer as to KCL though.

Bought some more fish and haven't had to dose NaN03 in a while though.

The sodium nitrate should be okay with the NOPOX. You could try a bit. It won't do any harm.

I'll have to look, but I think that the potassium should work with the calcium chloride solution. I'd give it a shot with a small sample. If you don't see any precipitation, the mix should be fine.

For nano3 I have a solution of 75gr/1lt of RO water, use it for my phyto culture. Because I am worried for bacteria proliferation into nopox , how more denser can I make it before precipitation occur , so I could mix as little water as possible into Nopox?

I wouldn't add any water to the Nopox. You can keep adding sodium nitrate until it fails to dissolve. It won't precipitate per se. Just save any extra for the next batch, or add a bit of NOPOx to make more dissolve.
