Aquamaxx Ws1 owners - bubble wrap inside skimmer
I just got the Aquamaxx Ws1.
Inside the skimmer, there is a piece of bubble wrap between the pump and the bottom. Is it meant to be there or not? I thought it might be there to silence the pump but I never saw a piece of bubble wrap inside a skimmer, pretty odd. If I want to take it out I need to disassemble the whole skimmer. It's not easy to get there. |

I would think it there just to keep the pump from moving around during shipping and posible breaking something.

No reason for it to be there except insurance on breakage.

The instructions state to remove the bubble wrap, it can be a little daunting removing the pump assembly, mine is real tough I have to use channel locks.

Be careful with the venturi the little airline connector is fragile. You need to remove that first and then slide out the pump assembly do not pull by the elec. cord

I got excited for a second but I see you said wrap, not trap. I run a sponge under the discharge because the thing spews so many microbubbles.
