? about hammer and torch

My hammer has been acting weird the past few days. It isn't opening up and has "little branches" coming off of it. It used to open up full and was inflated nicely. my torch isn't opening up as much as it used to also. It has brownish spots on it. Any thoughts on what is going on with these guys? oh yea water is as follows temp 80, amm 0, nitrates 0, nitrites 0, dkh 8, calcium 380. That is all I have tests for. Water seems good. My shrooms, zoo's and ricordia all look good. My fish are all good. Just these guys acting up. This tank is an upgrade and has been going for about 3 months.

Two things can think of.

Alk and calc, while not bad at all... seems to be a bit on the low side, which gets me wondering what your Mg levels are at. Perhaps do a waterchange?

Also do you have a skimmer or running carbon? chemical warfare might be the culprit.

also you say there are brownish spots. do you have Flatworms bothering your corals?

i have a skimmer which is pulling a nice dark green gunk out of the tank. i am not running carbon. last time i tried it i had a mess of carbon dust all over the tank. My water change cycle is this weekend so it will get done on fri. i do them according to my pay dates which is every 2 weeks. i usually do about 30 gallons when i do them. As for the flat worms what should i be looking for. I don't think i have them but who knows. Can you tell me what is growing on the hammer coral. i thought it was branching off a new head but i think it is something else.

Looks like some thing is off because of the algae in both pics. What is your lighting and how old are they.
